Our 2 bedroom, 2 bathrooms historic home is located in the heart of downtown Ouray. The Dawson House, which was originally built in 1888, maintains its historic charm while embodying all of the modern-day luxuries you are accustom to. The exterior of the home reflects its Victorian roots. Simultaneously, the interior features a modern interior and modern furnishings, an updated kitchen, an updated bath that mixes modern fixtures with an antique claw foot tub, and the original staircase. Combined, these features create a beautiful contradiction of history and modernism.

The second floor has two bedrooms with a queen bed in each. The master bedroom has a private deck nestled among the treetops with Twin Peaks' views and the surrounding mountains. This home has a great covered porch for sitting out and enjoying a quiet morning or alpenglow reflected on spectacular Amphitheater. There is also a small back porch and a patio with a gas grill for your use. There are parking spaces for two cars located in front of the home.

Although the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has advised that Covid-19 is spread mainly by person-to-person contact, we follow CDC guidance relative to cleaning and disinfecting and are following best practices, including paying close attention to high touch surfaces and using the EPA-approved disinfectants for surfaces. Linens, towels, bedsheets, etc., are washed per manufacturer's guidelines. We are also minimizing person-to-person contact from check-in through departure.

Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days before the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.
